Reflection
I have a pencil holder that was my grandmother’s. It has to be 40 years old. You may have had one, or still use one. It’s a plastic cube and you can put pictures in the four sides. Several years ago – likely more than I want to remember, I put little “sayings” in it instead of pictures. The pencil holder sits on my home-office desk. I use it all of the time, but because it is such a permanent fixture, I often forget to read what is written there.
Today as I was moving it in an attempt to tidy my desk (WHO made that mess? Surely not I!!!) one of them caught my attention.
Happy moments, praise God.
Difficult moments, seek God.
Quiet moments, worship God.
Painful moments, trust God.
Every moment, thank God.
May all of your moments be filled with God today.
Prayer
God, may every moment of my day today, be dedicated to you. Help me to know you are with me and that there is nowhere I can go beyond your love. Amen.
